A Method for Evaluating Project Management Standards, Based on EFQM Criteria, Using FTOPSIS Method

In this paper, the fuzzy technique of order performance by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS) is employed to evaluate some well-known project management standards (PMSs) based on the criteria introduced by European foundation for quality management model (EFQM) to have a new framework to compare standards as a new comprehensive method. To do this end, a brief review on some of the PMSs is introduced based on their frameworks, concepts and critical areas. The crucial index are extracted based on the EFQM model areas and because of multiplicity of the criteria, the TOPSIS is employed to assess the standards. In addition, fuzzy logic is applied to encounter with the vagueness of judgment about the coverage level of each PMS in each of the nine basic criteria of the EFQM model in order to evaluate them. Computational results which are shown in the following sections indicate the applicability and usefulness of the method.

An ERP Selection Combination Model under Uncertainty: A Grey-BSCAHP-Entropy Model

An enterprise resource planning (ERP) software can help organizations and firms in their activities like: production planning, purchase, human resource, finance, sales, inventory control and etc. Selection of an ERP is mentioned as a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. However, several MCDM-models are proposed to solve this, but many of them didn't consider uncertainty as an effective environmental factor. In this paper, a new model has designed which used three-parameter interval grey numbers concept that is derived from Grey-theory. These numbers can help for reducing the uncertainty of data. Besides, a combination model for weighting has planned by implementing AHP and Entropy methods that are used in order to reduce uncertainty. And last, a decision making method (Three-parameter grey interval incidence degree method) is used for ranking process. There is a case study at the end of this paper that shows how this model works.

Carbon Based Closed-Loop Supply Chain Design under Uncertainty using an Interval-Valued Fuzzy Stochastic Programming Approach

Recovery of used products is receiving much attention recently due to growing environmental concern. In this paper, we address the carbon footprint based problem arising in closed-loop supply chain where returned products are collected from customers. These returned products can either be disposed or be remanufactured to be sold as new ones again. Given this environment, an optimization model for a closed-loop supply chain in which the carbon emission is expressed in terms of environmental constraints, namely carbon emission constraints, is developed. These constraints aim at limiting the carbon emission per unit of product supplied with different transportation mode. Here, we design a closed-loop network where capacity limits, single-item management and uncertainty on product demands and returns are considered. First, the fuzzy mathematical programming is introduced for uncertain modeling. Therefore, the statistical approach towards possibility to synthesize fuzzy information is utilized. So, using defined possibilistic mean and variance, we transform the proposed fuzzy mathematical model into a crisp form to facilitate efficient computation and analysis. The model is applied to an illustrative example of an uncertain green supply chain (GSC).

Optimal Design of PM Synchronous Generator for Aerial Industries Power Supply Using Cuckoo Algorithm

The Generators used in aerial industries should have the characteristics such as high efficiency, power density and reliability, low weight and volume. Among different generators, permanent magnet synchronous generator adequately satisfied these requirements. In this paper, first the dimensions and other quantities of this generator are calculated through an analytical model. Then using Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm (COA), these quantities are optimized to suit for desirable needs of aerospace systems, in order that the total volume of the generator could be minimized and its efficiency could be maximized. The results of this design for the permanent magnet synchronous generator application in aerospace systems have been satisfactory.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a nonparametric method for measuring the efficiency of Decision Making Units (DMUs) which was first introduced by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes in1978 as the CCR model .One of the most important topics in management science is determining the efficiency of DMUs. DEA technique is employed for this purpose. In many DEA models, the best performance of a DMU is indicated by an efficiency score of one. There is often more than one DMU with this efficiency score. To rank and compare efficient units, many methods have been introduced. Moreover, the main assumption in all DEA models was that all input and output values are positive, but practically, we encounter many cases that violate this term and we ultimately have negative inputs and outputs.
